Robert (Mac) N. McLennan

Mac McLennan is the president and chief executive officer of Minnkota Power Cooperative, Inc., an electric generation and transmission cooperative and general manager of Square Butte Electric Cooperative, an electric generation cooperative, both located in Grand Forks, North Dakota. Mr. McLennan serves on the board for BNI Energy/BNI Coal, an energy service company. He serves as the chair of the National Resolutions Committee for National Rural Electric Cooperative Association and as a director and past chair for Lignite Energy Council, both industry trade associations. He also serves as a director for the Energy and Environmental Research Development Foundation, the Quentin Burdick Center for Cooperatives and the University of Jamestown.  

He joined the CoBank board in 2022 and is a member of the Risk Committee.

Mr. McLennan holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Jamestown.
