Sharing Success

CoBank’s Sharing Success program doubles the contributions of its customers to the charitable organizations and causes they care about most.

CoBank recognizes that our customers often know best where funding can most effectively be provided to benefit their communities. Since Sharing Success was established in 2012, CoBank and its customers have together contributed tens of millions of dollars to groups such as volunteer fire departments, local schools and hunger relief programs. To all of our participating customers, thank you for making a difference in your community and for allowing us to be your partner in this effort. We look forward to working with you again this year.

Application Timeline

Sharing Success applications are accepted beginning April 1 each year. Applications are considered on a first-come-first-served basis. Applications will be accepted through September 30 or the point at which the fund is exhausted, whichever comes first. Applications received after the September 30 deadline will not qualify.

Gift Match Eligibility

In general, contributions to any 501(c)(3) charity are eligible for match under the Sharing Success program. Select organizations that are not designated a 501(c)(3) may also be eligible. These organizations include schools and government organizations such as counties or municipalities and their agencies or departments, as long as the donation serves a public purpose and is consistent with the purpose and guidelines of the Sharing Success program.

The bank prohibits charitable contributions to organizations that are political in nature or to any non-religious organization that has a written policy of discrimination (based on race, color, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, age or status as a protected veteran). CoBank reserves the right to review any request for support (matching or otherwise) and to decline those that are inconsistent with its mission, values and philanthropic goals.

Contributions must be made by the customer organization only. Contributions made by its employees or donations received from the customer organization’s members are not eligible for match. In-kind donations are not eligible for match through Sharing Success.

Number and Amount of Matching Contributions

Each eligible customer may request matches for up to four contributions. The minimum eligible contribution is $250 and the total of all matches may not exceed $10,000.
