Steve Wittbecker

Steven Wittbecker is executive vice president of the Farm Credit Banking Group at CoBank. He is responsible for CoBank’s funding relationships with the bank’s affiliated associations, its commerce relationships with other Farm Credit institutions and the Farm Credit Leasing subsidiary.

In his previous role as Chief Sustainability Officer, Mr. Wittbecker was responsible for advancing the bank’s sustainability strategy and related initiatives. Previously, Mr. Wittbecker served as CoBank’s Chief Audit Officer for 10 years, overseeing the bank’s internal audit and asset review functions and working collaboratively with functional leaders across the enterprise. He joined CoBank in 2011, after serving as a director in PricewaterhouseCoopers’ Risk Assurance practice for eight years.

Mr. Wittbecker has a BBA in management information systems from the University of Iowa, obtained his CISA certification in 2004 and is an active member of the Institute of Internal Auditors. He has over 25 years of public accounting, consulting and internal audit experience.
