We also provide financing for Farm Credit Associations or Agricultural Credit Associations, which are part of the nationwide U.S. Farm Credit System. In certain cases, we provide financing directly or in other instances we participate in loans with other banks and associations in the Farm Credit System as well as with commercial banks. 

Because CoBank is a member of the Farm Credit System, regulations limit the type of organizations to which we are able to loan. In general, we can finance agricultural and aquatic cooperatives, including joint ventures and subsidiaries.  We can also loan to certain similar entities, provide export financing for U.S. agribusinesses, and syndicate and participate in Capital Markets financing arrangements.
