Marketing/Communications Manager
Position Summary:
Under the direction of the Manager of Marketing
Communications, conceives and manages marketing
communications activities on behalf of internal
customers across the bank, including the
agribusiness, global finance and CEBG lending units.
Serves as a primary marketing contact for the bank’s
Farm Credit Leasing subsidiary. Provides support for
all marketing communications activities, including
advertising, newsletters, brochures, direct mail,
event collateral, websites and videos.
Knowledge and Skills:
Five to seven years’ experience in marketing
communications field. Prior experience in a
corporate environment is required; PR agency
experience is strongly preferred. Ability to work
proactively with internal customers to identify
marketing needs, recommend solutions and provide
marketing counsel as needed to ensure the most
positive business outcome. Excellent project
management and organizational skills and proven
ability to manage a large number of multiple
priorities and marketing communications projects.
Strong writing skills and the proven ability to
write a variety of marketing communications pieces,
including brochures, direct mail and other sales
collateral, advertisements and websites. Excellent
written and oral communications skills with proven
ability to communicate effectively with a variety of
internal and external audiences. Knowledge
equivalent to a bachelor’s degree with an emphasis
in marketing or public relations. Working knowledge
of design and production processes. Proficient
knowledge of and experience using business software
including, but not limited to, Microsoft Office
suite, desktop publishing (Quark or InDesign) and
Adobe Creative Suite, and the ability to quickly
learn to new software programs.
Other Requirements:
Ability to work under deadline pressures and adjust
quickly to changing priorities with composure.
Ability to work independently and take initiative to
solve problems and complete project assignments.
Ability to work well with team members and the
department’s internal customers. Some travel
required.
