Our Customers
CoBank’s customers provide the critical lifeline services we all depend on – food, water, energy and communications. Either located in rural communities or supported by rural agriculture, our customers are playing a vital role in rural America.
Agribusinesses and Agricultural Cooperatives
Many of CoBank's customers are involved with some form of agribusinesses, whether it be growing, processing, marketing, transporting or exporting farm products. Agribusinesses range from small local and large regional agricultural cooperatives to multinational food companies, to financial service cooperatives serving agricultural producers.
Rural Energy, Communications and Water Companies
Across the country, CoBank works with rural energy, communications and water cooperatives and companies. We provide funds to extend electric service to residential and business customers, to install new transmission lines, to build renewable energy generation facilities, to upgrade rural water systems, to expand fiber optic networks, and to diversify service offerings to include wireless technology and satellite TV.
Agricultural Credit Associations (ACAs)
CoBank also provides funding to four Agricultural Credit Associations, which in turn deliver financing to farmers, ranchers, aquatic producers, rural homeowners and rural businesses. This financing includes real estate loans as well as loans for equipment, working capital and other agricultural production purposes. Our ACA partners include Farm Credit of Maine, Farm Credit East, Northwest Farm Credit Services and Yankee Farm Credit.
